Richard Hughes began his real estate career in 1970 with a small firm in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, while working in public relations at a major tire and rubber company.

Before founding his own company, America's 1st Choice Richard Hughes Realty, Richard was associated with a national real estate organization, RE/MAX. During his three years with RE/MAX, Richard was presented with the Executive Club Sales Award in 1991 and, during 1992, became a member of the 100% Club, that company's highest recognition for sales achievement.
